It's certainly upsetting my horse

She doesn't like even light rain and 'sings' in protest.
Today we thought we were going to dodge the showers and brought the horses in to tack up in a dry spell. Unfortunately while we were inside the rain started again. We decided to carry on and go for a short ride round the village, rather than leave sister's mare who has a slight dust allergy inside. We set off and mare 'jumped' at the first car that went through a puddle (didn't splash her) and carried on in that vein all round. The rain got heavier as we got nearer to home and we got faster and faster. Then when we got back to the yard she refused to stand next to the mounting block for me to dismount because the tree was dripping onto her. At one point she tried to walk backwards into the stable, with me still on top. We had to wait for sister to come and rescue me, as I am less than agile since I broke my ankle and wasn't sure that mare would stand while I scrambled off onto the ground.
Then to add insult to injury I put the mare back out into the field in the rain. She is NOT happy

Gave up and watched from the car

Was sorely tempted not to trog all the way up the fields to get the lads in, but glad I did! (see post below

Home. Hot bath. Sofa. Lovely fire. HHO.

What????!!!! Well, really! Share! Send some this way...

But then again, if it had been warm here, I wouldn't be feeling so snuggly and spoilt rotten like I am now

It most certainly is not improving my mood, I have a really bad head cold spent most of yesterday waiting for it to stop raining when it did enough for my mare to be dry enough to tack up it then poured down again but stayed relatively dry for my hack only about 10 minutes rain but boy did it tip it down as soon as I left, hail as well, today has been the same which was typical as my daughter wanted to ride which made OH not a happy bunny as he had to lead her and horse stood on his foot he is now saying he thinks its broken (MEN) please can we have some sun...?
