Took all the ice out his water bucket today, turned around and he was eating the ice I just took out and put on the floor?! It's about -2, surely if he was thirsty he would just drink the water right next to him?
Does anyone elses horse do this? It was a bit odd...

Haha I caught my 2 boys doing this today, but Mum hadnt taken the ice out in the morn just cracked it so they were doing an ice version of apple bobbing :p. Kept them busy for almost an hour  weird little freaks :D. I have known my mare crunch up some ice when Ive taken it out and put it behind the trough, but ice bobbing is apparently too undignified for her . :). No idea why they do it though!

Granted, I'm not a horse, but I'll happily munch on the ice in my drink once all the drink is gone. Sometimes it's the best part. Cant be that wired, right??
