Lady is more dog than horse i think, or x lab.

She keeps pulling off her over reach boots in the field and then proceeds to gallop around it waving the boot around in her mouth.

She also pulls off my woolly hat off and throws it on the ground then pounces on it.

She is so odd?
Yet to catch this on camera because as soon as i get it out she has her nose on it. I have so many close up's of her wiskers!!!! :D

Yup, def a dog! Think she is also a mad lab type! We go out for walks in hand sometimes and it is just like walking a big 'hunting for interesting smells' dog!

LOL, sounds familiar....she licks my face too, just hoping she doesn't decide to jump up  16.1hh of horse giving you a front feet hug isn't one i'll be looking forward too. :D

I was just thinking that about my share horse last night - he's a terror for chucking things around, just like a naughty puupy (although he doesn't chew things up, thankfully!).

Just yesterday he pulled a stable rug off his door, got a dandy brush out of his grooming kit that I'd put in his manger while I was grooming (it's not used for food or water, just still in there from the past, I think) and whenever you go to take the empty feedbowl out of his stable, he grabs one of the handles on it in his mouth and chucks it out of the stable!

I have been acussed of having an oversized dog! He just follows me about like a lap dog, tries to sit on my knee, sucks my hand when he's worried, licks...

Yes my 5.5 year old pure ID is like a big dog - I think it is due to all the box rest he has had. I remember when I really did my back in and couldn't walk for 3 weeks, only crawl. My friend crumpled me into her car and took me to see him, she pretty much rolled me into his stable and we sat together for ours. He would then try and play with me, and nip me as I couldn't move, all gentle not nasty! It came a little tough when he then tried to paw me lol!!

He now is a strapping lad and when poo picking in the field he will creep up so quietly behind me, I normally hear a slight noise or rustle behind me and I turn around and he is vertical waving his feet in the air, wanting to play. I normally tell him sternly to get down as although I know he is playing not everyone would want a 16.3/17 hand showing his belly button off.

he never does this with anyone but me and the glint in his eye tells me it's just playing.

Bring back into work he has been perfect with anyone I have allowed on him, yet I feel the battle within his body that he is so excited but is trying to be good, he will however turn his head around to me, the glint will be present in his eye and a little smirk on his head and he then leaps all 4 feet of the ground about 4 foot in the air and then stops when I tell him to behave, the look is then present again lol!!

Lol! I have caught my horse with one of his fieldmates playing tug of war with a stick :p. And with a tail flap! (previously attached to his rug!:rolleyes:)

Um, yes! He is an andalabrador!

Playing fetch: (he came up with this all by himself and merrily ran around after it for 45 minutes one day, a genius way of getting out of schooling as I was laughing so hard...he even pushed it over raised trot poles!)

Mine's definitely a cat. She would spend her life asleep somewhere as warm as possible, apart from regular "serious business duties" and the occasional mad 10 seconds. (In 3 years I'm yet to see her canter round a field, but she'll do a 20m mad dash). She will only eat the best food available, eagerly but politely, until she's had enough, then go back to sleep. She thinks she's utterly independent but wants to know she's the centre of my universe, and hates to be caught doing anything unladylike/making a mistake. Can't stand the rain, and wouldn't be seen dead with a muck-stain, dear me! (Mud packs are daily beauty treatment though). She also sulks if someone carries out the "wrong role" in her life, or I fail to carry out mine (entertainment and bodyguard). Most the rest I've owned have been crossed with a dog or a hippo.

I've often thought my mare is a bit like a big dog. She isn't nervous of things that would make horses nervous in a horsy sort of way. She goes through life in an untroubled, relaxed state, often doing things you wouldn't expect a horse to do, never mind a 16.1 showjumper. I've caught her with her bottom suspended over the fence, scratching it, she's lain down at shows and slept when tied outside the trailer, despite loads of kids on ponies screaming and running around next to her. If she cannot jump something, because of debris, she will climb over it carefully - I'm talking about half fallen down stone walls here. She will even squeeze through those motorcycle barriers, by wiggling her body in just the right spot - I didn't have to teach her that, she just worked it out straight away. I once had a BBQ right next to her field and she came up to the fence to be part of it, despite the crowds of people there. She loved it!
