If your horse is loosing hair for any particular reason I was told recently to add solid hoof oil to the hair - I did and my horse had slight sweetitch at the top of his tail and it has completely grown back after two weeks of use!! It also keeps the flies at bay.....Amazing!!
I used the red tub- Carr, Day and martin product.
Just a tip
