So.... I'm after a dressage saddle for my birthday and sat in a few the other day at a local store. I fell in love with the Bates Isabell Werth - it was so comfy and my position was improved etc etc- which is typical as it was the most expensive one there!! So I have been looking at second hand ones and the older version are much better suited to my budget.... so can anyone tell me the difference between the 2 saddles - I have read that the older style is better suited to a higher withered, which is a plus in my case, but will I notice much of a difference riding in one? Thanks in advance!!!

My daughter had the older style one and loved it, shame we no longer have a horse and it is sat in the shed looking like it needs a new home.....

I have the old style one. Absolutely love it. I think the newer ones are quite a bit bulkier which, for me, was going to be a negative as my horse is already quite chunky.

When I was researching them, the general concensus seemed to be that the old style ones were better.
