Is anyone from the Isle of Bute? My husband and I are thinking of re-locating there for a change perhaps temporarily, perhaps more permanently due to current pressures of work. We already have a house there to move to and the horses will have room too, but I have no experience of the horsey world there. I know I will be going back to the mainland for training and competing and likely staying over to do so, also know the hacking would be good, but wondering if there would be any schools to hire (we would not have our own immediately), xc courses, can you easily get supplies on the island or do you need to go back to the mainland to pick things up and what vets/farriers would be recommended. Any information gratefully received.
