Just wondered if anyone had any experience of these. Apparently have a lot of Norwegian fjord about them, but are smaller, with a strong injection of Arab ancestry too.

Heard a lot about them on an Easter trip to the west of Scotland, although sadly didn't get to see any on our brief visit to Rum. Very interested to discover that there are some smaller, but thriving, native breeds that get very little publicity.

The only Rhum ponies I know of are a type of Highland pony - usually smaller and less bone than the ones we see regularly in the show ring. There's an English stud that specialises in them - Brownbread. They are often chocolate dun coloured with flaxen manes and tails.

Maybe there is another breed on the island, but it's not one I've heard of.

there are two distinct types of Highland ponies, the mainland ponies tend to be larger but island ponies are smaller and finer and these are probably the ones the OP is referring too

The Brownbread chocolate ponies are lovely
