When people ould be glad of having someone take a horse off their hands???

I've been scouring websites, tack shops, the yellow paper, freeads etc etc for something to loan but nothing

It's quite depressing.

you would have thought so, i remember seeing one last year saying "to loan october to april" yeah right i thought, great if you dont work and have your own school and live in the country! good luck. i found a mare to share last november and thought the owner would be inundated but luckily for me was not.

how about riding schools - i am not sure what type of horse you are after but i have succesfully winter loaned something decent enough to do some hacking and local competetions...good luck!

its something where you either find nothing at all or get inundated! I advertised for my sister ages ago when she wanted something to ride, and heard from nobody for about 4 months so gaver up and filled the stable. The day it was filled we had 4 calls!

or maybe the large livery yards - i see people at mine offering rides - some people are just grateful for their horse to be exercised - and then you can use the facilties - indoor schools etc!!!

I have advertised, everywhere and nothing!

It's very frustrating. I don't think i'm after much, something sane and sensible to maybe do some BE Intro on next season...15.2 - 16.2ish, middleweight...but apparently nothing exists!

shame you arent in hertfordshire i could do with a hand! good luck i hope you find something! Maybe it will get better once winter kicks in and people realise how hard it is! I think its easier to loan ponies - i know so many mums with little ones whose daughter is now back at school so cant fund in the week but needs to keep it fit for xc etc at the weekend.
