Basically I got my mare in May 2010 and she came over from Ireland a few months before. She has an Irish passport and is registered with the Irish Piebald + Skewbald Assosciation. I have tried to change it into my name a few times but they don't accept English cheques etc in the post so you have to send them it in a cheque in Irish currency from Ireland basically. My dad has been over there and tried to get it sorted but he cannot unless he has an Irish bank account, which he doesn't have.
I would like to change her over to the British society so I can compete in registered coloured classes but I cannot transfer her passport until it is in my name with the Irish society.
So basically, what else can I do? Is the only option to create an Irish bank account just so we can pay them so they can change it over? I just feel a bit iffy not having her passport in my name after all this time. Any suggestions welcome
