I love my kids, horses, dogs and cat so much, but I got my hair done this evening - no longer blonde, brown now! Doesn't it feel great to feel "normal" once in a while and not the "farmers wife" people slag me about all the time!! (Wish I had a rich farmer husband, instead of being a broke single mum), but having my hair done had really cheered me up!!!!!

Yep i know the feeling! I love the odd times when I get a day off and can get a shower and do my hair and not smell of horse p*ss by the end of the day!!! :)

I nearly consider the smell of horse p**s perfume at this stage, it's sad, isn't it!! Had a very busy day, had to go into work, collected kiddies, came home, got hair done, sorted cat(with broken pelvis), at 9 o clock kiddies wanted to ride, so had to go and do that, (they were in their jods since 6), had to go to shop to get milk, and then put kiddies to bed. They'll be welded to the bed in the morning, they are normally in bed at 8. "m wont be good, as i know it'll start off badly!!!
Would love a full weekend of pampering, but wishful thinking

Ow poor cat how did that happen? I know im so tempted to put mine on full liv for a couple of days and do things normal ppl do but just cant justify the cost or trust someone else to do them lol. Had a busy one today as well, had someone out to view, had to pick up a carriage for a new ride and drive friesian, pick up broken car, ride them all and do all jobs, then came home to take dogs out am exhausted and have got chronic back pain thats getting worse everday! The bliss of owning horses hey lol

Ditto the back pain, really need to get it fixed but dont have time!! I'm very lucky to be living where I am, I'm renting the house, and 8 acres and the stables and kennels for €650 a month, but on the bad side if i want to go anywhere, I have to bribe my family/friends to look after the animals. It's a pain but hey. i'll suffer on. Nowhere to ride though, only the field, and as i share a jeep and box with my sister, i never get to use it, she's always gone somewhere with her elephant!! (By elephant, i mean 17.2 cavaleir royale gelding). It's funny, cos she's only 5'4" so looks like a cherry sitting on top of a bun. I will eventually get a jeep and box of my own but for the minute, it's a pain!
As for the poor cat, neighbours dogs chased her, she was missing for 2 days, i wet down to feed the dogs on the thursday evening and could hear a mi-aow. Went around the back of the stables, and eventually figured out she was in the wall. had jumped into a tiny hole and fell through the cavity blocks. had to go out home to get a sledge off dad, and come back and knock a hole in the wall to get her out, and then off to the vet. havnt got the bill yet so dreading it. she spent 2 days in the vets and is now on 6 weeks cage rest. surgery is an option of she's not getting better, but she's getting better, if she knows whats good for her, cant afford surgery. But in fairness, she's gone from being thrown in the cage to trying to break out so i think she's on the mend!!
Life is going so fantastically at the moment, I'm waiting for something else horrible to happen!!
