today my mother - 78 and frail - slipped on ice on garden path shes bruised but ok - she lives 60 miles away from me and due to weather i havent been over but talk on phone everyday. so I set out to get rock salt to no avail. I asked my YO if she had a bag i could buy and sadly only has 2 and needs that for yard ( understandably) when i said why needed it she disappeared off and came back with half a bucket - so off i go to mothers bashed all ice off path and laid layer of salt - simple act of kindness that allows my mother to get out to her rabbit wth out slipping - mmmmm made me feel good inside that people care
