It made me sick to read this, poor poor dogs. Don't read if easily upset.

ive seen this happen before on a shoot, twice in fact. both dogs were fine but only thanks to sharp eyed beaters throwing themselves at the truck and the second time me actually having run alongside hammering on the landys window to stop it. the first time was sheer stupidity where the gun had left his lab hooked to the bumper and then then minutes later had to move his truck and didnt think, but the second was someone elses fault where a young lad had been handed a picker ups dog to hold and had fastened it to the gamecart which had then subsequently begun to drive off.

ive also seen it done with a horse at a show.

Actually almost vommited my soup then, they must have tried to run along and not been able to keep up and fell.
God bless their little hearts, a tragic accident and horrific for all involved. Not least those poor animals to suffer such a traumatic and horrific death.

*eta why didn't anyone see them and alert the driver? wha awful luck :(

It is`nt "bad luck" it is crass stupidity ,and accident or not it is also extreme cruelty.Lucky he is`nt in Houston..be in handcuffs by now, deservedly so.

There are a lot of people on FB slagging these people off and I wish it would stop.
A man here killed his baby son, his wife had left the baby outside in the pram for a bit of fresh air, the dad was landscaping the garden and hadn't heard/noticed and reversed the mini digger over his child, were they awful parents? No, it was an awful, awful accident, it happened in seconds/minutes :(

I've been amazed, CC. Its quite clearly a mistake - an awful mistake, don't get me wrong, but a mistake nonetheless...
