Well, you may remember my thread about the 4-year old appaloosa stallion who was a little bit far from us. Husband and I decided to take the plunge anyway and set off by car to see him and maybe some other horses on the way. We travelled all over Central and Eastern Europe (4200 kms in total) and viewed some 25 horses 
It was a wonderful journey and a kind of a second honeymoon for us 
At one point during the trip, we realized that we were just 100 kms from Vienna and decided to visit there. While walking around the city center, we found the Spanish Riding School quite by accident and ended up spending an extra day there to attend one of their performances. It was one of my dreams since early childhood and I was over the moon!
So, to return to horse hunting, the stallion in question turned out to be even more gorgeous in the flesh but he was a little bit unlevel. After much thought, we decided to give him a miss as we were not willing to take the risk (and he was not very cheap either).
But the biggest news is that, on the way home and at our last point of call closest to us, we found this and fell promptly, completely and utterly in love:
He is a 16.3 hh, 5-year old stallion and he literally flies. Husband rode him and could not keep the Cheshire-cat grin out of his face throughout the ride. And just to give you an idea of his temperament (not forgetting that he is a stallion that regularly covers mares), he stands like this in his paddock within 50 meters of the mares in the other field:
Now we cannot wait to have him home!
