Had the farrier out today for the two beasties. Bluebell was so good last time after her poor experience with a different farrier previous to that but today she was really nervy again. Kept pulling her feet away and caught me in the knee! Just a bit of a bruise but it's fine. But got all four feet done so can't complain.

Bertie was good as gold considering its his 3rd trim. Fussed a couple of times but to be expected. And got his rug on him today! I know its a bit late but I was so determined to get it on him and we did! He was a bit jumpy with it on his back and its a bit small but it'll do to get him used to it and use for the rest of the rug weather! Went to lead him out to the field, got to the second gate and he launched out and kicked my boyfriend who was leading him in the hip! Bolted off up the farm yard and galloped about into the fields for about 5 minutes before we got him back with a bucket shaken with stones in it. Ended up putting them in the stable tonight as he was wild and it wasn't worth another injury tonight. Luckily Mum wasn't too wild at her boy running about and managed to keep a hold of her otherwise we would have had problems!

He's been so good recently being led and it's just a bit disappointing :(. But hes learning and there is such a big improvement in him in general.

Probably need to get them seperated but not sure they will react very well to that. Those of you that have weaned, how have you done it and how well did it go?
