It was mostly psycological!

For months now I have been nervous riding my boy as he naps a lot and I always felt I had little control of his steering. Even a full-cheek bit didn't do much and I thought he must just be strong in the neck or something. Obviously, the more nervous I was, the more he didn't want to go forward.
Anyway I finally discovered (a little slow, I know) that he was opening his mouth to evade the bit so I bought a flash noseband yesterday. Decided to go out this morning round the block to try it (even in the wind)! Fitted the noseband and felt much better about going out (psycological bit). Well, I very confidently left the yard and we strode down the rode full of good vibes and he didn't even think about stopping! Got round the block fine so decided to try him in the school where he always naps at the gateway when going round. He did try it on but soon gave up as he found he couldn't evade the bit!! I was so chuffed I left the school and cantered back towards the farm (something I would never even think about before).
Here's looking forward to some fun hacks from now on

I know to most of you this would have been an obvious thought about the noseband but it wasn't obvious to me that that was the problem
