It was soooooo cold today!

Brrrrrrrr, it's freezing! Went for a 2 hour hack today and it was so so coooooooolllld. I had to put TWO exercise rugs on Flo, bless her, although she is fully clipped. I'm just glad we went to the woods where it was lovely and warm....I nearly froze to death on the way/way back

The breeze was just bitter.

Anyone else have a freezing ride today?

Yep, showed a horse off this morning and the woman wanted to go for a hack, so we did, and couldnt get her out of walk, froze to the bone

Yes- Dad thought it would be good to go for a hack with a load of ponies and me on the back. Its freezing standing on the back of a carriage. I was quite cosy when I rode though, wrapped up so I could hardly move!

OH YES!

It was not so much the ride, but picking up part-frozen poo from around the field (our two live out) was a bit nippy. Also had to be a bit careful when we got off the road and onto the tracks, steel shoes and ice don't mix

No problems though and we had a really good ride.

i know!! i had to do my dressage tests today in the snow!!
the comp kept running and every 20mins or so to pick the feet out as the snow built up!! brrrr i think my toes have dropped off - am still very very cold!!

and it was windy!

Oh there is nothing worse than sitting on carriage in this weather, you're just doing nothing so makes it a lot worse.

That will me in a few days. We weaned Bramble and Phoenix today so I'll be driving Bramble in a few days time....oh the joys of winter and not having an indoor arena

Yes, three hour hack with a couple of friends and we all felt chilled to the bone by the time we got back. Really glad we rode though, but just off to have ahot bath as havent been able to get warm again all day.

We even managed a Nap less hack today! (She does'nt really like hacking alone!) but god it was cold! The windchill was bad

I nearly crashed my car on way to yard this afternoon when a young girl trotted by on a pony wearing a spaghetti strap t shirt!! NO jacket NOTHING!! BRRRRRRRRRR! She must have been mad! I had on thermal long sleeve T, padded waistcoat, padded ski jacket, gloves, scarf and hat!

It was nippy today, but such a gorgeous one - I leapt out of bed when I saw the sun peeking through my curtains.
