It was soooooooo scary! (by Genie)

Well today Mum got me in from the field and, after telling me I was good for having four shoes on, groomed me and tacked me up. I wanted to go back in the field so pretended to be asleep, but she STILL took me to the school.

In there she got on me and Eric's dad was doing something with this thing with a wheel. Once Mum had done my girth up we watched as Eric's dad pulled a yellow snake from the fence, through the gate and towards the stables! Mum was relaxed so I watched it slither, and she said something about it being a K-bell... What is a K-bell?

Anyway, that was ok until the wheel thing that the snake was coming from decided to move! I decided at that point to save Mum and so turned around to get away, but she STOPPED me! Didn't she realise this K-bell snake was going to eat us?! I decided to listen to her this time and watched as Eric's dad came back in and moved the K-bell so it was the other side of the fence out of the way. Ok, so maybe it wasn't going to eat us after all.

But I hadn't noticed the silver box...

Eric's dad attached the K-bell to this silver box, and then the NOISE started! Mum said it was moo-zik... I always thought it was cows that went moo, and this did NOT sound like cows! I decided that we definately needed to stay away from this thing, but Mum wanted me to go close to it! We got close, but I did not trust this silver box one little bit, so kept stepping back. All Mum did was stroke my neck and then ask me for a step forward... she's sneaky my mum... before I knew it we were stood really close!

I still didn't trust this box though, and Mum made me walk past it both ways for AGES. At first I wanted to stay facing it and so went sideways past it, and Mum laughed and said something about knowing I could do something called haff-pass... After a few minutes though I was walking past it, although I wanted to keep an eye on it. Eric came in with his dad then and he wasn't scared, so I had to behave and show him that although I'm younger, I'm all grown up!

After a while though, this moo-zik seemed to actually be quite fun! Mum said afterwards that my trot better rith-um... what is rith-um? I got big pats and carrots afterwards though as well as a nice shower, so I must have done something right!

Oh these silly humans... The things they come up with, like k-bels and moo-zik! Has anybody had to do things with these before?

Oh, and Mum told me to put something about anybody who reads this having cookies, but I ate them... sorry...

Moo-zik, all I hear is dum dum dum.

Well my theory is that if they are so stupid not to run away when I try to go home, or get away from one of the big noisey box things, or the small furrey things, or the flyey thing that flap, well they deserve everything they get, stupid two legged things.

I completely agree with you Dex... These humans are just so stupid that even when we try to look after them they don't listen to us!

Glad to know others have to put up with such things from their humans.... and yes, I agree that I deserved the cookies!

nah genie, moo-zik is fun and apparently I am now an expert! RC almost champ and all that. Though i did get very carried away when I did the pairs with my mate spirit. Get your mum to ask my mum if she wants any moo-zik for welshies tips.

Think i'm in the dog house cos I dropped my mum today, didn't mean to but I thought it was a straight and spotted it was a corner at the last minute so did a kinda duck-out/screwy jump and she went the other way. Normally she jumps up and gets back on but she stayed on the floor so I got a bit worried. She got back on after we had walked back to the yard but we didn't do anymore jumping. Then she went back to the house on one leg whilst 2nd mum untacked me. I was a bit annoyed actually as I was enjoying it till then. Daft humans!

I was quite liking the moo-zik by the end of it! We had to use warmblood moo-zik today cos that was Eric's dad had... Eric being one of those wambloods and all that... He was doing this poxy slow canter sometimes, he just doesn't get that it's more fun when you go fast!

I'm sure your Mum knows you didn't mean to drop her. I dropped my aunty Rachel the other week and she was nervous when she jumped with me yesterday after I had fun jumping everything HUGE with Mummy (stupid humans had the jumps too small so I added a foot or so on top!), so I was good and looked after her. If you do that for your mum I'm sure she'll be happy with you again!

When are we going to meet and play at tanking off with our Mums?

Oh, Mum said to tell your mum that she says she hopes she's ok!

warmblood music is rubbish!

jumping a foot above takes more effort though, genie you will eventually learn that it is pointless putting in more effort than necessary, I have knocking them down but only ever jump whats there! (Mum- yup seriously if you saw him jump a cross pole you'd never think he do 3'3 with ease!)

The warmblood moo-zik really was rubbish! Mum said something about it not being her style... not too sure what she meant... and at one point I was walking past the silver box being all brave and it suddenly went boom! I think I was very good to just jump a bit and keep on walking, especially as Mum jumped a mile at that!

I like the noises Mum makes when I jump huge though! The extra effort is definately worth it! She makes funny 'oooh!' noises or squeals like a mare! On ocassion she says rude words though, and got told off by the lady that comes and tells her what to do!

(Note from Mum... she's very very good at putting a flyer in and I do indeed make the aforementioned noises, as well as the rude words, and did indeed get told off yesterday by my instructor!)

Hey Genie,

That k-bell sounds really scary!! My Carrot Lady is having me go round and round in the square place with the roof on lots and lots to moo-zik. It's really fun! I think it relaxes her. Does yours get more relaxed? Is that why you had an easier time trotting?

Spooky pony, you get ridden somewhere with a roof?! I've never been ridden INSIDE somewhere, although my stable is in a nice barn. I think Mum liked the moo-zik and it helped the both of us with nice trot. I may well have to pretend to be scared of the silver box and k-bell again next time though, got to keep Mum on her toes!
