My very fit cob is coming back for the 2 weeks over xmas and i would love to hunt him! only ever been mock hunting before but understand the basic 'manners' wouldn't get in anyones way etc.
Anyways he's in a snaffle atm which is rediculous as soon as you go into canter you may as well have no arms! He's a rearer never very high but hes so strong in hes back end he can just stand there, he was in a kimblewick which was the start of his rearing..im guessing poll perssure is out of the options.. so have absoloutly no idea what bit to try him in.. dont want to spend loads os money on fancy bits for them to work for a month or two for him to 'crack them'. In the school he is very chilled, well schooled, breaks more importantly but out its a completly different story!
He has plus sides though lol... hel jump anything! fillers, brushes, hedges, water pipes you name it! which is why id love to take him! :D
sooo sorry about the essay havnt posted in ages so making up for lost time !!

i have a similar sort of horse - anything with poll pressure makes him rear so i understand your conundrum! i haven't found the answer yet though - trying a double bridle on Boxing Day as not brave enough to just try a waterford or any other kind of snaffle.
