She is a pest... But also the love of my horsey life and this was one of our bad days. Here she is looking rather innocent!!

Wasn't it just, doubt many would have stayed put. Hope you are ok OP, you were fired into the ground.

I'm fine now, very sore shoulder but I have had a warm bath and am feeling less dread about a full day at work tomorrow. Mucking out lots of messy livery horses in the bracing winter air should make is tonnes better :P
 
That was a dirty stop! Don't think many people could have stayed on there!

At the very last jump of an arena XC course I had the same thing happen to me. She completely slammed on all four breaks about two strides out, and I flew!
