Hiya, my 7 month old inuit has developed red itchy patches under his front legs, in like the armpit area if that describes it better! He's stratching it so much its sore to the touch. Its only here he is displaying this, before my next vet appt has anyone got any idea what it could be?

We have unfortunately changed his food a bit here and there as its difficult to get to our large pet store which sells Autarky as we dont drive, so I cant pinpoint it to a food allergy, but its not out of the question, what makes me wonder though is that its only in one place, not all over.

Our little westie girl gets that, hence her wanting to wallow in every muddle puddle she can find! If you can try and stop him scratching till the vets diagnosis that'd prevent it from getting worse. We pop some oil in her dinner every evening too, it's supposed to help the skin - And we have actually noticed a difference in how much she itches there.

She has black pigmentation on her tummy from this - it's basically eczema, although she doesn't itch there anymore, it's calmed down a lot. I'm sure there are creams that the vet will prescribe - we had some when she was younger, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is called, sorry - but this was years ago, so they probably have better stuff now.
Good Luck.

He may have a grass allergy. This time off year is when things are at it's worst. My JR has a skin condition it's made worse by her going on grass, she too has very itchy armpits, best thing for a dog with bad skin is a combination of these things.Cod liver oil caps, evening primrose oil caps and aloe vera juice. It will transform them - promise!
