No, not mine!
My boy has got quite a fluffy coat now (he is convalescing so not clipped) but has an itchy patch on his chest. He has only started scratching since he has been wearing his rugs. I sent them all to be cleaned and it has started since.
I clipped his chest and have been washing it with hibiscrub, and have started washing fleece/stable rugs at home. He has never had this problem before so I am thinking it might be a residue left over from the cleaning service?
Someone at the stables suggested I give him a low trace clip so he doesn't get itchy, but I am not sure. He does not keep weight on well now a days.
I thought re-washing the rugs in non-bio (like I have always done and never had a problem) at home, and washing his chest and making sure he has a good groom would do the trick.
Apart from having this itchy patch he is fine, and perfectly happy.
He is having his vaccinations next week, so will ask the vet while he is there.
Any suggestions?
