My 5 month old foal is doing really well after just being weaned from mom and is healthy and happy... However, he is very itchy, particularly top of tail, bum, neck. His skin looks a bit scurfy though his coat itself looks shiny. He is on third round of shedding foal fluff, seems to be growing winter coat now. I'm concerned bout sweet itch, but maybe just typical itching for a foal? He does not have any bald patches but you can see where he has rubbed. No particular scabs that I can dsee, quite greasy, when you scratch him it leaves yr fingers white! You can see 'dandruff'. Thoughts and ideas welcome! He is living out but comes in to stable if weather particularly bad.
