Itchy labrador?????

My boy (choc lab) seems to be really itchy recently, i cant seem to pin point anything really obvious like change of shampoo or anything....
He is molting and he is out on the yard with me everyday getting covered in hay, straw, dust etc etc/

Any suggestions?
I bathed him in tea tree shampoo on weds that doesnt seem to have helped.
Oh and he is regularly treated with frontline and has no obvious marks/patches on his skin.

Does he have dry skin? If he does try feeding him some oil every day.

Not sure, but if it carries on I would have a visit to the vet, incase its anything "internal" causing problems.

he gets oil fairly regularly, he loves it and often steals what is meant for the horse!! Not noticed any dry skin.....

The dogs at our yard always steal the oil as well. Could just be molting itches.

Could be a food allergy perhaps?

could he have picked up mites or some other horrible beasty type from the yard?

I'm new to this forum but I thought I'd just maybe chime in on this one. I'm a dog groomer and see lots of skin problems which are mostly down to diet. Oil can help, but it may be something that is caused by his actual food. What do you feed you dog?

Also, I'd avoid using tea tree shampoo if it's dry and itchy - as tea tree tends to dry it more. You'd be better off using an oatmeal based shampoo. ;0)
