Itchy pony

Our little pony is rugged up and when he has his rugs taken of he scratches his self, in loads of different places. Not had vet out yet but we have looked and there doesn't seem to be anything obvious bothering him. Could it just be because of having the rug on all day or something skin related? We are going to try lice powder... but we haven't see any

Check for lice - its the right time of year for them - he could just enjoy a good scratch when his rugs are off - just like you do when you take off your clothes.

If you can though you could give him a bath with Nizoral just incase he has a fungal infection. Dilute with hand hot water, lather up and work well into the skin, leave 20 mins and then rinse. You buy Nizoral from the chemists
