They are both rugged up , although tommy is clipped he does have 2 rugs on (turnout has full neck as does missy )

I did tell hubbie I was away to get milk for the morning but took a 6 mile detour

its currently about -4 here at the moment and I'm already worrying about my field gang!!! Will be going up super early to check they are all ok adn warm enough!

horses cope with cold dry weather extremley well, if they are well rugged there is no reason a clipped horse can't live out, in fact they stay warmer dooodling around than they will stuck in a stable -STOP WORRYING!!

Of course you're horses are ok. They're fine in cold, its when its wet and windy that they tend to get cold IMO. My TB x Luso is hunter clipped and just has his Rambo Duo on (with 300g liner), it was -4 all day yesterday and he's always cosy whenever I stick my hand under! He'll be out all winter (snow etc.) in it. I rarely need to put any other rug underneath. Are other peoples horses woosy or something?!

As chilliem says - horses keep themselves warmer being out than cooped up in a stable anyway! Its crazy people are worried about horses being outside where they're meant to be!
