Your horse refuses to take part! Fly will STOP and turn his back to the rain and there is precious little I can do about it! Do you have this problem? The only time he will 'get on with it' is if we are in company on a hack etc and the others go off and leave him!

Some just dont like it do they!

It's Ok to be a Fair Weather Horse!

My old mare hated the rain and threw her head up everytime a drop landed on her nose, or would throw her front legs up in an effort to wipe her nose - got some very strange looks when out on hacks! also during a jumping lesson once whilst we were wating for the instructor to raise the jumps she just marched off and stuck her head in the hedge

hate to be a pain, but my mare loves the wet weather, she always performs to her best ability when its absolutly minging outside! I however dont enjoy it so much!!

have no choice....need to ride in the rain in preparation for rainy dressage competitions. Had to do medium canter the other week straight into driving rain....took all my strength to hold her straight.

I think its fair enough horses dont like rain, naturally they turn their bums into it so no wonder they try to when being ridden. I guess its like us putting our heads down walking into rain, its not nice having it on your face.
