Ho hum.

After the Dizzy session, I thought we'd have some chill out time at Eland Lodge (good hot choccies there

), but daughter wanted to ride Little Lad. So, being a good Mummsy, I said okay, and off they trotted to the school.

LL stood on a nail

. No idea where it came from (was the road end, so may have come over/through the hedge).

Short story: it missed the frog. It went in about quarter of an inch. I pulled it out, there was a bit of blood on the end. The spot was about a third back from the toe, and halfway between the frog and the wall of the hoof.

Tubbed in Hibiscrub. Friend turned up to show me how to poultice. So now he is looking rather fetching in pink bandage thing and with blue tape. Very fetching

. On Bute. In a stable and happily eating.

I was thinking of selling up and buying rocking horses, but what chance they'd all be full of wood worm

.

It would be cheaper to treat the woodworm and be done with it, maybe invest in some wood glue aswell!

Hope you have a better day tomorrow

Is LL up to date with his tetenus?

Keep a real close eye on it MM - and if you get any heat at all, get yon veterinary asap.
