It's cold I'm trying not to be a wimp!

It's cold, more snow predicted. I go to the barn, pull off blankets, check for rubs, groom and put the blankets back on. Saddle & bridle sit on the rack getting dusty. What a wimp I've become.

I finally put my horse's blanket on him this afternoon and hung electric water buckets...no more frozen water.

I've discovered the wonders of electric clothing. Fancy gloves with thermostats that keep warm for up to 10 hours and a vest that heats front and back. I've got no excuse to not ride now, wimp or not. I used to fox hunt all winter long...I decided I'm going out there and ride my guys...even if it's just a slow hack to not get them sweaty.ing

Not a big piece of drama or really interesting thread...just a suggestion for fellow barn wimps to go ride.

like the sound of heated vests, where did you get them from
it is currently snowing just now and is getting rather heavy, the joys of a Scottish winter i suppose, but i am fed up of them
