Apologies if this is sounds bad, but I am very proud of my little mare today
Some of you may know that we've had a bit of a tough time with her, got her last May but she had most of last year off due to a back problem then lameness, but she went for hydrotherapy in January and is fully sound and back to normal now. She's always been a bit of a character but does love to work. She loves her jumping but obviously because of her lameness etc she hadnt done any for while and I've been slowly building her back up.
Today we did some jumping, she was very good and jumped about 75cms, and we also cured her fear of the scary red fillers
That did involve 2 almost falls though, but after that she decided they weren't that scary and it was actually quite fun. Then decided after a good session of jumping to be a little bit daring and jump a tiny (45cm ish) jump bareback
She was such a good girl
Sorry if this post sounds selfish, but I am so happy with her right now
After all we've gone through, it now feels like we're actually getting somewhere.
Unfortunately no photos of the jumping as mum had to be there to help put jumps up etc, but you can have a cute photo of her instead
Love my little mare to bits, even though I was faced with this yesterday (after being out for 5 minutes while I mucked out, this happened)
