we have a lovely boy on our yard who was diagnosed with cushings a while ago.
sadley his owner has tried everything and he has had the best mummy any horse could wish for,she has decided after alot of thought and hope that he isnt any better and its best for him that he is to be pts in the morning,i want to send her my love and hho love

so rip jake you done your mummy proud and looked after so well,you will be reunited with your horsey friends over the bridge we will miss you loads little man

There is never a right time to put your best friend to sleep, but when you know in your heart you've done everything to help and wish no suffering, you really are doing the right thinkg It's more painful for the people left behind, but you still have memories and hopefully, pictures that no-one can take away.

Hugs and thoughts winging their way to your friend. What a selfless act-read carefully NOT SELFISH-SELFLESS though I'd clear that up. A true friend to a horse isone that puts the needs of their horse before their own. All to often we see poor old horses made to linger as their 'guardians' (I dont believe that we call ourselves 'owners' how can you own such a magnificent animal') cant deal with the heartbreak.
