Well I've been up since 8 moving all my things over to new yard, managed to do it all in 1 run *phew* sorted tack room and stable out at new. Drop dad off back home then come back to old yard to clear out my old stable and storage and collect Horse. On the way to old yard, I was driving down a very busy 40mph road and people kept breaking and I could hear lots of bibs. When I got nearer I could see why. There was a cob running loose, he is tetherd usually, but managed to pull the spike up and got the rope round his front leg. Poor thing was terrified. I stopped on the side of the road and got out. Walked torward him slowly talking to him and managed to get hold of his headcollar. He was really sweet but just shaken. A non Horsey passer by stopped too and he held the rope and the spike while I led the Horse back to the green. We tetherd the Horse again and just as I was leaving the travellers turned up and thanked me for catching him. Anyway so carried on back to my yard to pack the last of my stuff. Got Ruby in and she was filthy, noway was I taking her anywhere looking like that! So gave her a long groom and loaded. She walked straight up the ramp and into the lorry like a pro
my old YO offered to take us, so that was really nice of them. Unloaded Ruby and she was fine. Turned her out into a little paddock opposite the main field so she could see them but not touch them. Brought her in and gave her a long groom and put her to bed. Waited around for 45 mins to see if she was ok. Shes settled in really well
I've only just left her. Its been a very long day! But no hiccups thankfully and Ruby is chilled and relaxed. I am very much looking forward to putting my feet up with a glass of Pinot!
