I am such a bad owner!

considering there are natives on the yard that are in and wearing at least 2 rugs!!

i put rugs on mine today, after saying how i was going to leave it till it snowed!!

Then found i couldnt ride today as they were too wet and muddy, so thinest rugs have gone on to keep dry!
Poor ponies! they look happier now, as they were miserable before they had them on!! lol

So you are not evil, horses coped for thousands of years without them.... god knows how though!

I had an anglo arab and a southern nancy horse out in the rain without rugs on today They seemed fine - although I did bring thm in when the thunder started!

my two welsh's are unrugged although the old girl was in a bit of a mood!! But not to worry, both warm, wooly and filthy, perhaps i'll take pity on the 25 year old when temperature really drops!!

They won't melt!

Bet they will be pleased to see in the morning though!

I know they'll be fine!! It's the murmurings at the yard that make me laugh!!

I have abandoned T with no rug. He has had no clip so far and wasnt chilly when I checked him last night. Didnt go down tonight as I spent all day at yard, but I am sure he will have found a nice warm spot in the wood to snuggle into

7C and piddling down with rain, so too warm really yet.

Everything but skinny old mare are naked, including babies. The arabs are getting woolly now, so is the Paint, but strangely enough both the palominos have still got summer coats! Weird! (I haven't told them that the Almanac forcasts snow showers in the middle of this month)

I have a new cob but I'm used to having finer types so I am having to fight my urge to cover him up.

That said, he was cold this morning at 6 when I went to the farm. We have open fronted shelters. Great for letting the air through. Only reason he is in at nights is for the waistline.
