It's really bugging me seeing free to good home ponies..

At least you realise you havent got the land and money for them, and arent one of those people that ends up needing rescuing/the horses need rescuing from in the future.

Aw sweet looking little face she has :)

Oh how I wish she was mine! :D
I just want someone to 'take her in'. :')

Seems nobody wants the poor chap. I wonder what would happen to her if she didn't get 'rehomed'.

I don't look at horse ads unless necessary as it winds me up seeing the free to good homes & below meat price ones.

I shouldn't either. But when i'm looking for friends to buy or looking at any which are to loan/share I always come across these little beauties. :/
Makes me sad as mummy says no. :(

Its a filly Pink cob.

I know LL, I dont look at ads either, apart from the odd link I follow, I find ad surfing hard work even when Im looking for a horse, no fun in it for me.

Currently on a FB page near me.....
17 hh, 13 yr old with ringbone. Lame as as a duck when ridden, free to 5* home....
*head, wall, bash*

Some less than scrupulous swine will have that, bute it up and sell it on as sound....you can see it coming!

Or perhaps take it to the factory which, ultimately, would be the most responsible thing to do with it......

I have 2 free ponies out off the paper!! And bloody good homes they have for the rest off their lives. Homes are out there. And no mine aren't ridden just pets.

I advertised my girl to a free home (stupidly and naively). The money wasnt an issue, as long as I found a good retirement home for her. Had so many weirdo's contact me, one being "hi, can you drop your horse of to me tomorrow" :O I took all adverts down in the end and kept her, the risk was just too high. Honestly didnt realise how many sick people are out there. Would never ever advertise a free horse again. c

Homes are out there not every pony free will end up in run down bad homes you know

That's very true. I got my old racehorse Bob as a companion for my other horse Murphy. I advertised for either very cheap or free, and got my Bob. He lived the next ten years in the lap of luxury. He wanted for nothing, and was treated like the king he was, I loved him dearly, and I still feel the pain of losing him last year, aged 29, today. I know not all of them are as lucky, but not everyone taking in a free horse or pony is going to do wrong by them.
