Its still light here but I dont think it will be long.

I love winter, the dark nights and the warm fires. Love the snow but really dont like the cold as I really struggle to keep my fingers and toes from going shades of blue and purple :/

Still relatively light here. I do NOT like winter, I am not a fan of the cold AT ALL although i do like a roaring fire. However, going to work in the dark, coming home in the dark and only seeing the horses in the dark all week is not my idea of fun. Plus, only get to ride at weekends as just have our own stables and land and no arena so it's a bit of a pain. Also, can only ride then if the weather's suitable (ie no ice, snow, fog, lashing rain etc etc). Nope, I likeit hot, hot, hot!!!!

I also spent the afternoon splitting logs and cutting up branches for kindling - I am feeling quite smug about my growing woodpile for the winter.

I got my Robinson's winter catalogue through today... I have to admit it makes me nostalgic for the time when I was young and used to finish up the pony in the dark and the cold. It's nice seeing them tucked up in their rugs looking warm...whilst I'm freezing!
