Nights are dark, weather is miserable, and I'm wishing I could hibernate, but alas, there are horses to be done!

So in my mission to survive this winter with a smile on my face, can anyone recommend me a waterproof coat that is:

a.) not so hot that I will end up dripping in sweat
b.) preferably blouson, but anything suitable for riding & yard work
c.) FULLY waterproof & will last

and last but not least, WILL NOT HAVE TO WIN THE LOTTERY TO PURCHASE!!!!!! ;)

Thanks everyone, big cuppa tea and choccy on offer for those able to help me conquer my mission :D

I really like my berghaus jacket. It's not a big one, totally water proof. Wear a soft shell jacket or Gillet under it plus my body protector and MH trousers for hacking and it's good even in torrential rain. I also have heavy thermal sealskinz gloves for hacking and whilst they are not great for fiddly jobs, they do keep hands warm and dry.

Berghaus was 60 from go outdoors.

What about the musto snug jacket? Can often source a deal on these & if youre going to Olympia there is a musto stand with loads of good deals on. I love Musto jackets...light & breathable.

i've got the mark todd blouson at the mo and so far brilliant , i have worn it nearly everyday since winter started ( june ) and it hasn't leaked . have also had the premiere equine blouson also very good both about £40

i have had a mark todd blouson for just over a year and it is doing great! quite dirty as wear it almost every time i am at the stables, all the time in winter, and i am at the stables every morning and night!
