I had a really frustrating ride on Larry today, did a short hack and he refused to soften and kept flinging his head. So brought him in the school after and tried to work on it.
He did eventually do some better work so popped up to canter and over the canter poles a few times. We've been trying to get his confidence with poles up. We also worked on canter poles into a little cross on Saturday and he slid to a halt the first time I asked him to go over.
This time, cantered round, backed off slightly, but popped it sweetly with a bit of leg.
I'm so proud of this tiny little moment, it made up for the bad before.
What little things have made you proud of your horse recently?
