itv now....super tiny animals

Not liking this puppy shop at all!! I hate the whole idea that an animal is a fashion accessory.
How many people going into that shop will just impulse buy a dog.

She says the puppies have an amazing life - their own condos - that they come out of for 10-15 mins 2 or 3 times a day?! Wow, looks like prison to me.

I'm not watching it. Just seeing the adverts for it has annoyed me enough!

It should be called Super Tiny Animals for Humans with Super Tiny Brains.

Meet my little man with big attitude
Mum is Maltese x Sidney Silky and Dad a long haired Chihuahua, he is hillarious, takes on the cat, stands up to the bigger dogs and goes everywhere on his own feet. He's very intellegent - he will collect a specific toy on command, choosing between three different ones, Rabbit, Sheep and Duck nearly always gets the one you've asked for. He also loves my knitting wool and steals balls of wool at every opportunity.

The pony looked like he had something wrong with his off hind leg, was that the genetic thing they were on about, I couldn't see the other one properly but he seemed to run around ok

I only had it on long enough to see that, everything else was silly

Yeah the pony is moving funny in the hind legs because of the dwarfism, we have a miniature shetland colt with the condition and he moves slightly bent out in the back end. They're all affected to different degrees but he's happy enough :)

You are right Acer does have a problem with hind legs which is currently being treated by Rossdales Equine Hospital, Newmarket and they are very happy with his progress. Other than that he is a perfectly happy little chap and a joy to have on the farm.

I liked that the ladies always said 'horse' when talking about the minature. I think they made it clear that although they are small and cute they need same care as a 'normal' sized horse.

All seemed wrong to me, many of the animals clearly had physical issues and yet they are still breeding from them. I cannot bare the fact that animals are used fashion accessories as they were on that program. :O((((((((((((

There's no way I can watch anything like this without hurling abuse at the TV. I am completely against the breeding of mutants for human vanity and that includes Chihauhas (most of whom cannot give birth naturally, due to their abnormalities) and miniature horses (the above posts say enough, but look up Thumbelina too). Sorry. :(

ETA: By miniatures I'm referring mostly to the American version - I would hope this is one trend that doesn't take off, here!
