Following my lad doing well iv actually taken the shoes of my mare tonight :) that's all mine bare but I'm now scared as iv got another to work with in reguards to keeping her bare and going well. My feed is fast fibre, mug of high fibre cubes calmag salt linseed and equimins advance and soaked hay.
She walked nicely across the yard tonight but now the shoes are of her feet look seriously flat and underrun!!

My farrier has said because of all the rain and the state of the fields she will wear her feet down in no time, so I'm a bit worried but my big lad hasn't but again he's further forward than her.
Any advice/tips to help? I'm getting her front cavellos

You could start off by taking her for short walks in-hand. I did this with my mare and it worked really well. Mainly because it gave me confidence, as I could see that she was coping with it. You can then take her for short rides, but increase the length of the hacks slowly, so the hooves have a chance to respond.

I'm sure that she'll be fine, plus you are getting boots for her, so you have a plan B ready. :)

the other 4 I'm not worried about as they have never had shoes so I get no probs with them but this mare has been shod for 10 yrs since iv had her and never had a break from shoes so I'm a bit worried if I'm honest plus she trips a lot which is another reason iv taken them off, just to see if it helps

This is what I'm thinking. Seeing my lads toes now starting to get shorter and striding out nice I'm hoping she may stop tripping once hers get shorter.
