Am gutted but have made the decision to sell B. He is an extremely talented 4yr old who I bought as a forever horse, however finances are coming into play and I cannot afford to pay for the training and competing that he needs.

He would be wasted with me, and as my work is getting even busier I am also not sure that I have the time to do him justice, so it was with a very heavy heart that I made this decision.

Not sure why I have posted this, but somehow writing it down seems to help.

Help yourself to a glass of pinot that I am drinking..though not sure there will be much left soon!

I made a post earlier about same choice or having no choice having to sell its hard and will be hard on the day of sale we can only hope that they are loved in their new home.. have a good cry I know I will

If you've made your mind up to sell him I completely respect that. But don't forget that he doesn't have the same aims and aspirations as you do. So why not continue doing gentle stuff for now and build up more with him re training/competing when you have more time and finances aren't so tight?

Thanks for your replies, Ish, I have thoroughly weighed up every angle, and feel that I do not have the time to give him the consistent work that he needs at the moment...

Sorry to hear that, but if its down to money etc and wanting your horse to go and do well, well then your putting your horse first so take comfort in that.

You always stay in touch, watch his progress and be proud of him and you never know in time, you may be able to have another that will suit your busy lifestyle etc.

Hope you find him a lovely home. (((hugs)))

I really wish you all the best in finding him a suitable new home. This is obviously very hard for you and sonething you've thought about a lot. If I hear of anyone looking for a promising youngster I'll PM you.
