Just put my gorgeous 4 year old up for sale on Horsequest. Feeling very teary.
He was such an angel last night, my novice mum hacked him out with me and he was so polite and very accomodating. I feel awful.
I just have to think that e will only go to a fantastic home where someone will be able to give him 100% of their time, as opposed to a third of mine.
Still feel very empty inside - i really love him.

I know the feeling exactly! I am selling two of mine as with four young children I don't have enough time. You know you will never find the 'perfect' home as he already has that! It is difficult, I will weep buckets when mine go,( you just know they are going to neigh as the trailer leaves) but I know they can go on and have fun with other people that I can't manage at present.
Keep the tissues handy, and be prepared for the floor falling feeling you'll get every time the phone rings! Well done for making a practical decision no matter how hard.

It's horrid selling a horse you love to pieces. I still regret selling one particular horse I sold last year, even though he's gone to a great home. I hate selling, its not pleasant at all. Just be super picky with the new home, that always helps!
