Today, a woman who used to look after Ned gave me a picture of his father, Duke (Ronalds Gold) and said he also has a half brother called Biscuit!! Biscuit is the mirror image of Ned, but without the hind socks.

I also found out he used to have a best friend called Comet. I would LOVE to find out information and so would the woman who used to look after them both. I will be posting in the lost/stolen section of the forum soon :)

Apparently him and Comet were inseparable and always went everywhere together. I don't know if they both went to the same sales, or if they were split up before that. I just know he was bay with a blaze and 4 white socks and would probably be around 14.

Anyway, the lady who contacted me (she actually gave me a lot of info previously) said she will update me on anything else she can think of and if she has any pictures, she'll send them too! It is heartbreaking hearing some things she tells me, but super interesting too!

Duke, Ned and Biscuit!

Awww thats fab!! I would love to find out the mother of my youngster... I can find everyone else, even her mother and father, but I cannot find who she is!! Lol!! I would also like to find out about my old horse Alfie who died in december, would love to see a photo of him in his younger days :)

I never dreamed of finding any info. It was actually someone on here who started the ball rolling and from then on...I've been getting more and more :D I've never found out this much about a horse, who wasn't a thoroughbred :O

Fab :) Love standardbreds!! My uncle bred them for years and years and used them in harness racing! Was very good! His prefix was Fulshaw

Ooh cool!! I think I remember reading that on Sarah's post (she had just got a new standardbred - by accident!)

I actually didn't know about them before I met Ned, but now I'm in love!

iTS SO LOVELY TO FIND OUT A HORSES PAST AND EQUALLY TO FIND OUT INFORMATION ON A HORSE THAT YOU USED TO HAVE BUT MOVED ON...except if sometimes their life hasnt been how you'd like it to have been. Ooops sorry for the caps lock!

I found out the final bit of the jigsaw for my new mares history after posting on here. It was great to see a picture of her looking so fit at the stud, and to find out her proper name.

Columbo isn't a patch on the detectives on HHO :D

Haha, so right MrsElle! The things you can find out via HHO!!

Warmbloodcrazy - Sadly Ned's isn't a happy story :( in fact, the woman who was giving me this info was sure he would be dead. She actually cried when I put his picture on facebook, asking for history! She thinks Comet might be gone, but I would love to try and track him, even if he is no longer with us! The only problem is I have no idea what I'm looking for!

My friend has a fourteen year old Comet! White blaze, white socks too. Unfortunately he is black. There must be hundreds of horses called Comet, but good luck searching.

Hi,
I own Biscuit. Sire is Ronalds Gold, his dam is called Cover girl. I don't know much about Biscuit. I just know his dam and sire. I know he used to do endurance rides with a lady called Debbie. I keep meaning t write to her for more info. I have had Biscuit for 4.5 years now.

Do you have any more info? Did he compete under another name?

The one that EstherYoung posted seems to be the right Biscuit :) He's got the correct sire (Ronalds Gold)
http://www.egbarchive.endurancegb.co.uk/horse_results.php?horse_id=41899 Ah, I'd have loved to do Endurance with Ned and maybe I still will one day :D he's not old yet!
