My mare is sometimes hard to catch, especially for me because she associates me with work as i'm the only one that rides her. Today she was fairly easy to catch with an apple to bribe her, i caught her and she gave out a big sigh as if saying ''here we go again. work.'' 
But i had a different plan for today 
Brought her in, gave her a nice long groom and made sure to scratch all her itchy spots, then took her out for a walk in hand and let her graze, then gave her another groom back at the yard, gave her dinner with apples and mints in it, rugged her up and turned her out again. Her face was a picture! I have never seen her so confused! She usualy waits for her treat then canters off when turned out, today she stood there staring at me. I had to go clean the water trough so off i went down the field, she actualy followed me, still staring at me, waited with me till i was done, followed me back to gate and only then did she go off to her friends. I couldn't help but laugh at her Maybe now she'll be easier to catch
