Possibly the most stressful evening ever! Finally arranged to go and pick up my new loan horse. 15.3hh skewbald cob x TB mare.
For anyone who has missed my previous posts, this horse belongs to a 'friend of a friend' we went to see her about a month ago, and i fell in love with her straight away, then i went and rode her, she was an angel and i was sold!
BUT... Her owner is obviously going through a tough time, and was impossible to track down to sort everything out, even though she had said she was happy for me to have her and she'd get all documents etc i did a loan agreement, all sorted, however getting hold of her owner and going through everything was impossible - think it took a month in all and we finally went and picked her up this evening.
She loaded onto the trailer beautifully, we got about 10 minutes into a 20/30 minute journey and my friends car (towing) started to spew out diesel! Cue lots of phone calls and a rescue car (in the shape of another yard friend with a 4WD) to tow trailer and horse the rest of the way, and other car was 'carefully' taken back to her house! The most stressed i've been in ages!
Finally she's all settled in her new stable. she needs some work (she's had 6 months off), and her feet need some attention, but other then that she's great, and i already love her to pieces!
Here's Connie:
Get used to seeing her i'll be posting regular update photos! Its bathtime tomorrow and possibly mane pulling too so definitley be posting tomorrow!
Sorry this was a much longer post than i intended it to be!
