I've just put missy out after 6 weeks or more .....

And as per ususal she did have the buck and mad dash, Vet has been wanting me to keep her in and lunge her in walk and trot .... Its not possible, Shes going to go mad anyways, So I have went against the vets judgement and stuck her out

..... To be honest .... the box rest is only making her worse as she had got that little bit of exercise on the lunge (lunge being large circle) and the swelling had went down quite abit, Standing in for a day or two and it went back up, There isn't much swelling to start with but its swelling none the less .

Scan was clear on tuesday ie tendons is fine and the blood clot seems to have dispersed itself .

She is happily munching away on the grass and seemed to settle well .

Dr pepper ... whats the worst that could happen ?

I'm sure she will be ok

- I think sometimes swelling and legs filling is helped by being out doing some gentle excercise as the circulation is improved.

Have you tried magnetic boots

? They are great for improving ciriculation/reducing swelling etc

Yeah with "gentle" exercise ....

She doesn't do gentle .

Haven't tried magnetic boots but will have a word with the physio who is coming on tuesday to have a session with her .

She's much better off out than in imo - 4yo's and box rest are not a happy mix

TT went XC at Castle Leslie today

The water in the lake came up over S's boots

but Tommy loved it! Me and E walked miles, bit tired now

She did well , Ive only just brought her in about 6pm .... So a couple of hours out and all she has done is ate

Leg hasn't swollen up any and she is happy as larry tonight , What a massive difference in her temperment
