Hi there, numpty questions!,

I have a light on my 75e15 at the bottom of the speedo, is this something to do with the tacho? Not that I use the tacho. When we collected the box it was not on, then it came on half way down the motorway. Orangy-yellow. Passed the plate last week no advisories.

Also, diesel light came on really early, before a quarter of a tank I think, is this normal?!

Its driving ok!:D

Thanks!

Theres a little red light that is on all the time, unless isolated by the engine isolator (if fitted) or fuse 10 (on mine) is removed. It is for the tacho and will drain your battery if your wagon is stood.
There is also another light, a small one too, that comes on when you go over 56mph (I think) but it should go off when you go less than this. They are both beneath the tacho, think the left one is the tacho light.

Ok, I will check which side it was but I think it was on the left and on all the time even when we stopped the engine, and went off when isolated. It is more orangy than red.
Will pay more attention when I use it on Sunday, thanks.

Does the diesel light come on really early on them?

It sounds like the tacho light, its fine and will be on all the time and as long as it goes off when you isolate the battery and it goes off, then happy days :D

On my last wagon a 75e15, the diesel light (yellow one) was on all the time but flashed when it was low, the gauge seemed to be accurate, yet I dont remember the Iveco I had before doing it. It never caused a problem.

Maybe worth keeping an eye on the diesel level to see if it goes down as if the vehicles new to you, then you wont know if the gauge is faulty or not. Friends was faulty all the time she had it, but she knew to keep it topped up.
