During a practice loading session with a mare and foal today, my mare pulled back before I had tied the second cross tie rope. She managed to pull the ring out of the trailer housing without the bailer twine breaking.

My husabnd rang IW immediately (this is a new box only used a few times) and was told they have a kit to deal with this problem. This leads us to believe it may have happened before.

Oh nightmare! I stopped using twine and use those equi-ties rubber thing but they break easily and often not near then end of the loop so are knackered after one pull. Iwas thinking of trying the velcro ones - not sure how good they are tho!

As for the 511 My door catch/stopper thing came off the other day but easily fixed. On the whole I really am impressed with mine. I can't see much real manuf differences from my 510 none for the worse anyway!

I placed an order for a 511 yesterday. I raised all the problems I've read on the forum and was told that new trailers built now (since a couple of months ago actually) have been rectified. I also emailed IW and they said the same (I'm saving that email!), so fingers crossed these problems have been sorted...

I bought a brand new 511 in March and I haven't had any problems with it yet *touch wood*. I absolutely love it - I had a 505 before and I much prefer the 511

Well I cannot tie any horse on the right hand side of my 511 until a repair kit arrives from UK.

As I have only used it on four occassions I am not well pleased.
