thinking of getting as new horse outgrowing 505 what is the difference between 511 and 51basic apart fom price and what if any extras would you recommend, thanks.

Are you thinking of a brand new 511, or a used one. Be careful as they have had a lot of issues, and I'm not convinced they have ironed these out yet!

I've got a 511 and had it two years with no problems whatsoever, I find it big, light inside and sturdy... there have been some problems with mould I think on some trailers but can't say I've experienced anything like this.
My mare is a big 16.3 wb and fits in really well, personally i think they are great, I also bought direct from them so not through a dealer. Think if I did have problems this would make it easier to deal with.
Main difference with 510 is the 511 is slightly bigger and more modern design, you can have bigger front windows and there are quite a few add ons

My friend has the 511 and its nice, light and airy BUT has had the mould return for the second time, the side ramp spring has rusted, has the jockey door is on one hinge because the bottom hinge has broken, the jockey door doesn't open from the inside and one of the side windows nearly fell out. This is with very light use.
They certainly aren't made like they used too... never had a problem with mums 510 in the 4 yrs she has had it. Especially considering that its is abused in the sense that it is used for pointing and there is very rarely a dry lorry park in the thick of it and not enough hours in the day to clean it after every use!!

I have had my 511 for 18 months now and love it. Yes the mould is a problem but personally I don't even notice it really. They have had a few recall things but I bought mine through a dealer and there were no issues getting anything looked at. I would definitly look at getting one again in the future.
I use mine on average once every 3 weeks.
