Just noticed my dogs yearly jab in over due. About to rebook but in mean time does anyone know if I will have to restart them ( the two I believe 10 days apart). Jabs are about 8wks over.

For medical reasons? Not unless this was their first puppy shots. Generally the vaccines we give dogs are good for several years (not just one), but the laws haven't caught up with that.

My vets advice was he would just go ahead and give the booster part and not the whole thing again. when mine missed. If an adult dog their is enough immunity in the dogs system with repeated boosters over the years to protect. He also recommended booster every two years for mature dogs .When I googled the topic too frequent vacccination can cause health problems seemed to be the general advice and some vets wishing line their pockets will advise you "start again".

Depends if you use boarding kennels. Some require a full vaccination history.

It won't be detrimental to the dog if you just get a booster, as above an adult dog that has been vaccinated has a built up immunity.

IME vets are happy to let the vaccine go up to 3 months over due as long as it is not the first booster.
the primary course should be 2 vaccs 2-3 weeks apart, would it be a problem to start again though?

Depends on the vaccination - main part only required every 2-3 years but one part is not the same and needs restarted after its been missed
