Wow, what a day, exhausted is an understatement! Jack rode brilliantly today, he tried so hard to maintain a good balance, even managed a couple of very bouncy trots, the new saddle was fab...... except it kept slipping to one side, girths done up mega tight but Jacks lack of balance and the fact the pony has absolutely no whither, plus is grossly overweight meant it just didn't sit down low enough but I am on the problem and getting it fixed! Jack entered the lead rein class and came 3rd out of 9 entries so not bad at all! He was then brave enough to enter the coloured class on Rocket the little diddy one and came 5th, we were up against some stunners so we were proud as punch! I know what you are all thinking, THAT PONY IS TOO FAT!!) We are working on it believe me, he was actually twice the size when we got him so has lost a lot of weight, he is on minimum rations and I am breaking him to drive so wont be long until he is svelte and I can actually feel his ribs :) Enjoy the piccies, there is one of my youngest Noah riding a very bouncy Rocket too. I am finally off to bed, clutch decided to go on the Landrover on the way home, we just made it, but I know have to find a stupid amount of money to get it fixed :mad:

Lovely pictures as usual, you all look so happy.:)

I can see you have been bitten by the showing bug. Before long the cost of a new clutch will be the least of your money worries.:D
 
Lovely pics, and well done Jack and pony.
Could you try a sticks Stephens gel pad under the saddle? When they've just been washed with warm water and fairy they are really sticky when dry.

Re the landrover, is it a defender? If so - clutch repair shouldn't be too bad if you find a friendly mechanic, my master and solace cylinder have both gone in last 12 months, and was around the £100 mark each time to repair, should have done both at same time and would have been less, according to second mechanic who I will not be letting go of any time soon!!
 
What lovely pictures and you all look SOOO smart. That handle definitely looks the business and in the pics at least, Jack looks very straight :) Especially impressed as he is almost doing the splits on the round pony :D Congratulations on 3rd place too. Shame about the landrover though - sounds like it needs to be sent of for re-schooling! Hope you get it fixed cheaper than you fear!
 
Thank you all, will google Stephens Gel pad and give that a try. The landrover is a discovery 3, the newer model, really begrudge paying out for fixing cars etc when I could so easily spend that money on more equine stuff :)

Thank you for not slating me about the roundness of the pony, every judge keeps knocking us down points for it and giving us lectures but we are trying, I'm sure the fresh air round here is full of calories at fat seems to just appear on my butt an any given time!

Jack was nearly doing the splits on Patch because he is so round, I'm off down the paddock to night to attempt lunging him again, failing that he can come on a five mile walk with me at a jig jog pace, at least we will both get fit.

I have to admit I did actually get on him the other night, he carries my leg quite well as he is so round but would struggle with my weight for anything more than a quick ten minutes, I had fun though and managed to work him through his stubbornness!

right, I'm off to eat a whole tube of Bacon pringles so anyone is welcome to come and share, but be quick!
