Hi Guys,

Not been on here for ages. Hope everyone is well!

Some of you may remember my posts about my horse Jack the self harming rug trasher.

Well just over two weeks ago Jack decided to self harm big time!

Luckily he has missed his tendons but its going to be a long summer of mucking out re-dressing his leg and NO riding!

Oooh nasty. I thought my Jerry was the expert at self-harming, I brought him in this morning with a cut on the inside of his upper foreleg. Luckily not bad enough to call the vet.
Hope Jack gets better quickly.
 
crikey, that looks awful, how the hell did he do that?
have you thought about taking him to a saltwater spa place, iirc they heal up wounds like that amazingly fast.

She went to check on him after she finished work and he's caught his back leg AGAIN while having a roll in the field. The last ones haven't finished healing yet so he's got multi coloured legs

Well just been up the yard and re-dressed his leg and Im glad to say its looking a lot better!

Oh and how he did it - no idea, I have searched the field and still have no idea of how he did it. It looks like some psycho has been in the field and taken a knife to his leg, becuase it was suck a clean random slice in his leg. Maybe I should put CCTV on the trees around the field lol

I think i would be doing a hell of a lot more than joking about putting CCTV in the fields! Is there really nothing in the field he could have done it on?

Really cant find anything he could of done it on. Just looks like its been sliced with a knife! Im dreading the day he does go back out think I will be out with him 24/7, need to get myself a tent and a little camping stove lol
 
Well have you reported it to the police and your local horsewatch or anyone?

ETA Sorry but if someone near me suspected their horse had been cut by someone with a knife i think i would want to know about it.

Also, i do hope it heals up soon!

Dont think police would take it serious. I doubt very much it would be anyone with a knife its just the way the wound looked. Anyway dont thin Jack would let anyone near him, he is a little monkey to get near at the best of times. There will be something he has done it on just nothing I can find.

Dont think we have horsewatch here.
